庭前落尽梧桐，
水边开彻[1]芙蓉。
解与诗人意同[2]，
辞柯霜叶，
飞来就我题红[3]。
注释：
[1]开彻：开过，要凋零了。
[2]解与诗人意同：指凋零的梧桐叶与荷花似乎与诗人心意相通。
[3]辞柯霜叶，飞来就我题红：这是诗人在向飘落的树叶说话：经过秋霜离开树枝的落叶啊，飞到我身边吧，我将在你上面用红笔写下诗句。

In the courtyard the leafless plane trees loom;
By waterside all lotuses are in full bloom.
The frost-bitten maple leaf knows my heart,
