I can only imagine you,
your skin no longer supple and smooth
海的那一边

Your eyes no longer
sparkling as in the past
Your full silver hair is the witness of the years

Time may have worn away your outward appearance
but your inner wisdom still glows

The anticipated trek has me feeling weary but eager

How many endless words
have passed through the Pacific Ocean
flowing like the rolling
waves of my heart
多少无尽的话语

化作内心起伏的波澜
How long is the separation after the gathering together
It’s only but a moment before you once again are looking back
It’s a sentimental journey
多少相聚后的别离
是你一步一回首的片刻
这是一段感伤的不舍
Time is a book that’s never fully read
And your pictures will become old photographs
As we who were once toddlers became our children’s mothers
