西湖探梅

雪晴天地一冰壶，
竟往西湖探老逋[1]，
骑驴踏雪溪桥路[2]。
笑王维作画图[3]，
拣梅花多处提壶。
对酒看花笑，
无钱当剑沽，
醉倒在西湖。
注释：
[1]老逋：北宋诗人林逋，曾隐居西湖孤山，他酷爱梅花，在居所周围种了许多梅树。这里以老逋指代梅花。
[2]骑驴踏雪溪桥路：唐代诗人孟浩然曾在雪天骑驴到霸桥赏梅花。
[3]笑王维作画图：王维画有《雪溪图》，诗人感叹西湖雪景远胜过王维的画。

Mume Blossoms at West Lake
Yang Chaoying
The sky and earth look like icy pot after snow.
To seek after mume blossoms in West Lake I go.
Treading on snow by the brook on an ass I ride,
I’ve outdone the poet’s picture of the lakeside.
I bring a pot of wine where mume blossoms throng;
Wine cup in hand, I smile at the flowers for long.
Wine drunk up, I may pawn my sword to buy;
Drunk down, by lakeside I would lie.
