王安石[1]
金炉香烬[2]漏声[3]残，
剪剪[4]春风阵阵寒。
春色恼人[5]眠不得[6]，
月移花影上栏杆。
注释：
[1] 王安石：宋神宗的宰相，主张变法维新。王安石是知识分子“达则兼善天下”的典型，他身为宰相，变法效果并不理想，他彻夜不眠，只能在月色花影中寻求安慰。这是从另一方面，说明中国古代知识分子是如何顺应自然，利用自然，做到天人合一的。
[2] 金炉香烬：铜炉里的香烧成了灰烬，暗示是深夜时分。
[3] 漏声：漏壶滴水的声音。漏，漏壶，古代计时工具。
[4] 剪剪：形容风略带寒意。
[5] 恼人：令人烦恼。
[6] 眠不得：睡不着。

How can l fall asleep when spring beauty’s displayed:
Moonlight and flowers’ shadows play on the balustrade?
