贯云石
南枝夜来先破蕊，
泄露春消息。
偏宜雪月交，
不惹蜂蝶戏[1]。
有时节暗香来梦里。

[1]偏宜雪月交，不惹蜂蝶戏：指梅花恰好开放在风雪交加的寒冬，不像其他的花一样招蜂引蝶，暗喻高雅的品格。

At night are the first to blow,
Revealing vernal beams.
They love the company of moon and snow,
But will not play with butterflies or bees.
