帕布莉卡《小雅·菁菁者莪》是中国古代第一部诗歌总集《诗经》中的一首诗。此诗主旨历来有争议。一说这首诗用比兴手法，反复吟咏对于君子长育人材的欢愉之情，同时也描述了青年学子见到君子的欢乐之情；另一说这首诗写的是一个爱情故事，表现女子与君子相见、获得君子厚赐后的喜悦心情。全诗四章，每章四句，以菁菁者莪起兴，描绘了一幅萝蒿满地，青绿繁盛的春天胜景，并把一个美妙动人的故事表现得引人入胜。
菁菁者莪[1]
菁菁者莪，
在彼中阿。
既见君子[2]，
乐且有仪。
菁菁者莪，
在彼中沚[3]。
既见君子，
我心则喜。
菁菁者莪，
在彼中陵。
既见君子，
锡我百朋[4]。
泛泛杨舟，
载沉载浮。
既见君子，
我心则休[5]。
莪蒿长得真茂盛，
在那高高的山洼上。
如今见到了宾客，
心中欢乐有礼仪。

He gives us shells at will.
The boats of willow wood
Sink or swim east or west.

[1] It was said that this ode celebrated the attention paid by the king to the education oftal ent. The lush southernwood and the boats were metaphorical of the talented youth of the kingdom, without aim or means of culture until the king provided for their training and furnished them with offices and salary thereafter.
