帕布莉卡《小雅·吉日》是中国古代第一部诗歌总集《诗经》中的一首诗。这是一首写周宣王打猎并宴会宾客的诗。全诗四章，每章六句。第一章写打猎前的准备情况，第二章写选择了良马正式出猎，第三章写随从驱赶群兽供周王射猎，第四章写周王射猎得胜返朝宴享群臣。此诗运用点面结合的写法，既描写了田猎的场面，又突出了周王的形象，对田猎场面的描写比较详细，尤其是对群臣驱赶众兽于周王左右，以待周王射猎的情景，写得细致入微，曲尽人情，具有很强的艺术感染力。
吉日
吉日维戊，
既伯既祷[1]。
田车既好，
四牡孔阜。
升彼大阜，
从其群丑[2]。
吉日庚午，
既差[3]我马。
兽之所同[4]，
麀鹿[5]麌麌[6]。
漆沮[7]之从，
天子之所。
瞻彼中原，

或群或友。
悉率左右，
以燕天子。
既张我弓，
既挟我矢。

又祭祀来又祈祷。
猎车已经准备好，
四匹公马大又肥。
登上那座大土丘，
驱车追赶众禽兽。
良辰吉日是庚午，
已经选好我的马。
这里百兽齐相聚，
而且母鹿尤其多。
从那漆水沮水旁，
一直赶到狩猎场。
那看高高的平原，
禽兽种类特别多。
四散奔逃真热闹，
三个两个一起跑。
向左赶了向右赶，
以供天子来射猎。
用力拉开我的弓，
我的箭矢放弦上。
射杀那头小雌猪，
再射这只独角牛。
做成佳肴献宾客，
一起饮酒乐逍遥。

Royal Hunting[1]
On lucky vernal day
We pray to Steed Divine.
Our chariots in array,
Four horses stand in line.
We come to wooded height
And chase the herds in flight.
Three days after we pray,
Our chosen steeds appear.
We chase all kinds of prdy:
Roebucks, does, stags and deer.
We come to riverside
Where Heavens’ Son may ride.
Look to the plain we choose:
There are all kinds of prey,
Here in threes, there in twos,
Now they rush, now they stay.
We chase from left and right
To the royal delight.
See the king bend his bow,
Put arrow on the string,
On a boar let it go;
A rhino’s killed by the king.
He invited guests to dine,
With cups brimful of wine.
