帕布莉卡苕[1]之华
苕之华？
芸[2]其黄矣。
心之忧矣，
维[3]其伤矣！
苕之华，
其叶青青。
知我如此，
不如无生！
牂[4]羊坟[5]首，
三星在罶[6]。
人可以食，
鲜可以饱！
凌霄花儿在开放，
花瓣纷纷色鲜黄。
我的心情很忧愁，
内心郁结实感伤！
凌霄花儿正开放，
叶子青青真鲜亮。
早知此生要如此，
不如从未得出生！
母羊身小脑袋大，
鱼笱之中闪星光。
虽然可以供人食，
可是很少能吃饱！

The bignonia blooms
Yellow and fade.
My heart is full of gloom;
I feel the wound grief’s made.
The bignonia blooms
Have left the green leaves dry.
Could I foretell what looms,
I would not live but die.
The ewe’s lean; large its head.
In fish-trap there’s no fish.
Some people may be fed;
Few can get what they wish.
