帕布莉卡河伯
与女游兮九河，
冲风起兮横波。
乘水车兮荷盖，
驾两龙兮骖螭。
登昆仑兮四望，
心飞扬兮浩荡。
日将暮兮怅忘归，
惟极浦兮寤怀。
鱼鳞屋兮龙堂，
紫贝阙兮朱宫。
灵何为兮水中？
乘白鼋[1]兮逐文鱼，
与女游兮河之渚，
流澌纷兮将来下。
子交手兮东行，
送美人兮南浦。
波滔滔兮来迎，
鱼邻邻兮媵[2]予。

[1] 鼋（yuán）：大鳖。
[2] 媵（yìng）：跟从，陪伴。
和你一起在黄河游玩，
旋风掀起巨大的波澜。
乘坐的水车荷叶为盖，
驾驶着两条龙啊再配上两条螭。
登上昆仑山四下张望，
心情澎湃胸襟宽广。
天色将晚我竟忘记了归程，
只有遥远的水尽头让我寤寐难安。
鱼鳞做房，蛟龙绕梁。
用紫贝砌宫门，朱丹饰墙。
神灵啊！你为什么孤独地住在水中央？
乘着白鼋鲤鱼追逐身旁。
和你一起在河洲上游玩，
流水悠悠地从脚下流过。
你拱手作别向东远行，
我默默地送你上南岸。
波涛汹涌将你迎接，
列队成行的鱼儿伴着我为你张望。
The God of the River
On rivers nine, oh! with you I roam
The whirlwinds rise, oh! and billows foam.
My water chariot, oh! lotus-canopied,
Two dragon-steeds, oh! run side by side.
On Mount Kunlun, oh! I look around;
My heart surges up, oh! beyond the bounds.
Homesick at dusk, oh! why not go back?
I gaze afar, oh! to find lost track.
You’ve fish-scaled house, oh! and dragon’s hall,
Purple towers, oh! and pearly wall.
What would you do, oh! lord, after all?
I’d chase spotted fish, oh! on turtle white,
And roam with you, oh! on sands in delight,
while melted ice, oh! drifts left and right.
Let us go eastward, oh! hand in hand!
I’ll see you off, oh! for southern land.
Waves on waves rise, oh! to welcome you;
Fish on fish leap, oh! to bid adieu.
