帕布莉卡山鬼[1]
若有人兮山之阿，
被薜荔兮带女萝。
既含睇[2]兮又宜笑，
子慕予兮善窈窕。
乘赤豹[3]兮从文狸，
辛夷车兮结桂旗。
被石兰兮带杜衡，
折芳馨兮遗所思。
余处幽篁兮终不见天，
路险难兮独后来。
表独立兮山之上，
云容容兮而在下。
杳冥冥兮羌昼晦，
东风飘兮神灵雨。
留灵修兮憺忘归，
岁既晏兮孰华予？
采三秀[4]兮於山间，
石磊磊兮葛蔓蔓。
怨公子兮怅忘归，
君思我兮不得闲。
山中人兮芳杜若，
饮石泉兮荫松柏。
君思我兮然疑作。
雷填填兮雨冥冥，
猿啾啾兮狖夜鸣。
风飒飒兮木萧萧，
思公子兮徒离忧[5]。

仿佛有人从那山隈经过，
披着薜荔做的衣裳，系上女萝为腰带。
含情脉脉嫣然一笑，
你将羡慕我窈窕婀娜。
驾着赤色豹子文狸紧随其后，
用辛夷做车桂枝为旗。
披着石兰杜衡为带，
摘取香花打算送给情人。
我住在竹林深处不见天日，
路途险阻而姗姗来迟。
我孤独地站在高山之巅，
浮云在我的脚下舒卷飘荡。
眼前白昼深沉黑暗不见阳光，
东风忽然而至，点点雨滴降临。
我为你在此停留忘了归程，
年华老去有谁能唤回青春。
采摘巫山间的益寿芝草，
山石和野葛四处缠蔓盘绕。
我怨恨你啊怅然忘记归去，
你也许思念我却没空赴约。
山中的女子如杜若的芳枝，
饮着山泉在松柏树底等候。
对你的思念令我疑神疑鬼，
听那雷声鸣响苦雨飘零。
猿声啾啾笼罩夜幕沉沉，
飒飒风声里草木萧萧作响，
为了思念女神徒然横生忧愁。
The Goddess of the Mountain
In mountains deep, oh! looms a fair lass,
In ivy leaves, oh! girt with sweet grass.
Amorous looks, oh ! and smiling eyes,
For such a beauty, oh! there’s none but sighs.
Laurel flags spread, oh! over fragrant cars
Drawn by leopards, oh! dotted with stars.
Orchids as belt, oh! and crown above,
She plucks sweet blooms, oh! for her dear love.
The bamboo grove, oh! obscures the day;
I come too late, oh! hard is the way.
Standing alone, oh! on mountain proud,
I see below, oh! a sea of cloud.
The day is dark, oh! as dark as night;
The east wind blows, oh! rain blurs the sight.
Waiting for you, oh! I forget hours.
Late in the year, oh! who’d give me flowers?
Amid the mountains, oh! I seek herbs divine,
Here rock on rock, oh! there vine on vine.
Longing for you, oh! I forget to return.
Are you too busy, oh! for me to yearn?
Amid the mountains, oh! I feel not at ease;
I drink from springs, oh! beneath pine trees.
From missing you, oh! I am not free;
I doubt if you, oh! are missing me.
Thunder rumbles, oh! rain blurs the eye;
At night apes wail, oh! and monkeys cry.
Winds sigh and sough, oh! leaves fall in showers.
Longing for you, oh! how to pass lonely hours!
