展诗兮会舞。

灵之来兮蔽日。

[6] 天狼：星宿的名称。
[7] 杳：深远幽暗。
一轮旭日将要升起在东方，
照亮我的栏杆与神木扶桑。
轻拍着我的车马啊缓缓前行，
自皎皎月夜直到黎明。
驾驶着龙车啊伴着隆隆雷声，
载着如旗的云朵舒卷飘拂。
长叹一声啊向天空飞腾，
留恋家乡令我徘徊不定。
歌舞声色让人快乐，
入迷的观众几乎忘记了归路。
调紧瑟弦啊鼓声交错，
撞起大钟啊钟架不定。
鸣响竹篪来又吹笙，
想起神巫灵保是多么贤德。
飘摇的舞姿啊赛过飞翔的翠鸟，
吟诵诗歌吧我们一起舞蹈。
和着旋律啊和着节拍真和谐，
神灵纷纭而至把太阳光都掩蔽。
用青色的浮云做衣啊白色的霓虹做裳，
举起长弓射向天狼星。
抓起我的弯弓啊阻遏灾祸下降，
拿起形如勺的北斗斟满桂花佳酿。
拉着缰绳啊我要向高空飞翔，
趁着夜色茫茫我又要去往东方。
The God of the Sun
Before my light, oh! dawns in the east,
I take a bath, oh! by Sacred Tree.
I stroke my steed, oh! with reins released;
The night brightens, oh! the day set free.
My dragon car, oh! is drawn by thunder;
My cloud-flags wave, oh! and undulate.
I sigh, go up, oh! and then look under,
My heart lingers, oh! I hesitate.
For ears and eyes, oh! what great delight!
Those who behold, oh! forget their land.
“Smite zither strings, oh! which are made tight,
And strike the bells, oh! till rocks their stand.”
They play the flutes, oh! and the pipes blow.
The witch dances, oh! so bright and fair
As a green bird, oh! flies high and low.
All sing in glee, oh! and dance in pair.
All in accord, oh! to drums keep time;
The fairies come, oh! and shade the sun
In rainbow white, oh! and cloud sublime.
I shoot the Wolf, oh! it is undone.
I downward sink, oh! and grasp the Bow;
The Dipper’s used, oh! to ladle wine.
I hold my reins, oh! by night I go,
For in the east, oh! at dawn I’ll shine.
