秋兰兮蘼芜[2]，
罗生兮堂下。
绿叶兮素华，
芳菲菲兮袭予。
夫人自有兮美子，
荪[3]何以兮愁苦？
秋兰兮青青，
绿叶兮紫茎。
满堂兮美人，
忽独与余兮目成。
入不言兮出不辞，
乘回风兮载云旗[4]。
悲莫悲兮生别离，
乐莫乐兮新相知。
荷衣兮蕙带，
倏而来兮忽而逝。
夕宿兮帝郊，
君谁须兮云之际？
与女沐兮咸池，
晞[5]女发兮阳之阿。
望美人兮未来，
临风怳[6]兮浩歌。
孔盖兮翠旌，
登九天兮抚彗星。
竦长剑兮拥幼艾，
荪独宜兮为民正！

秋日的兰草和细叶芎，
遍生在神堂之下。
绿色的叶啊白色的花，
芳香扑鼻沁人心脾。
世人自有美好的儿女，
为何要替万民愁苦？
秋天的兰花繁茂青翠，
青青叶间掩映着花的紫茎。
神堂上都是美人，
忽然都向我投来多情的眼神。
你来去都不言语一声，
乘着回旋之风，以云霞为旌。
人生最大的悲痛啊莫过于生生的别离，
人生最大的欢喜啊莫过于遇到了新相识。
用荷做衣裳啊用蕙草做飘带，
来也匆匆，去也匆匆。
暮昏时你停留在天帝的郊野，
谁为你在云端守候？
我和你一起在咸池里洗头发，
在旸谷晾干头发。
盼望美人啊却没有到来，
只好临风高歌抒发郁闷之情。
用孔雀翎做车盖啊翠鸟羽毛做旌旗，
登上九天把彗星抚持。
你一手举长剑啊一手抱着孩童，
只有你才是万民的主宰。
