帕布莉卡淇上田园即事
屏居[1]淇水上，
东野旷无山。
日隐桑柘[2]外，
河明闾井[3]间。
牧童望村去，
猎犬随人还。
静者[4]亦何事？
荆扉乘昼关。
这首诗是王维隐居淇上时所作，描绘了淇上小村傍晚时的优美恬静的田园风光。淇上，淇水边上。淇水发源于河南，流入卫河，在今河南登封市。诗人于开元十四年（726）自济州离任到淇上为官，不久即在淇上弃官隐居。屏居即指隐居。静者是指深得清静之道、超然恬静的人，此处是作者自指。

My Garden by Riverside
Living with ease by riverside,
I see no hills in east plain wide.
The sun sinks beyond mulberries;
The stream flows between cots and trees.
The shepherds to the village go;
Hunters come back with hound and bow.
What shall I do,looking before?
Though it is noon,I’Il close my door.
