帕布莉卡凉州郊外游望
野老[1]才三户[2]，
边村少四邻。
婆娑依里社，
箫鼓赛田神。
洒酒浇刍狗，
焚香拜木人。
女巫纷屡舞，
罗袜自生尘。
凉州是唐代西部军事重镇，位于今甘肃省武威市，是古代丝绸之路河西走廊段的门户。这首诗描写唐代凉州地区赛神的民俗，颇具乡土气息。甘肃一带少数民族能歌善舞，这也是我国西部少数民族的共同特点。“赛田神”固然是一种带有迷信色彩的活动，但却是当时边地百姓“知恩图报”纯朴品性的体现。

A Rustic Scene on the Border
A village has three cots or four,
On the frontier neighbors are few.
The shrine sees people dance before
And hears drumbeats and flute songs anew.
On dogs of straw wine is poured out,
Incense burned for idols of wood.
Witches in shoes dance all about,
Their stockings dusted to no good.
