帕布莉卡寒食城东即事
清溪一道穿桃李，
演漾[1]绿蒲涵白芷。
溪上人家凡[2]几家，
落花半落东流水。
蹴鞠[3]屡过飞鸟上，
秋千竞出垂杨里。
少年分日[4]作遨游，
不用清明兼上巳。
此诗大概是王维少年时漫游两京期间的作品。这首诗勾画出一幅唐代寒食节游春的风俗画。画面上都是年轻人，男的踢球，女的荡秋千，玩得很高兴。而桃花、李花、清溪、流水、人家、飞鸟、垂杨，都是年轻人的陪衬。整首诗传递出一派生气盎然、雀跃兴奋的景象。

Cold Food Day in the East of the Town
A limpid stream threads through peach and plum trees,
Green duckweeds and water plants sway with ease.
How many people live by riverside?
Half of the flowers fall with ebbing tide.
As flying birds a ball is kicked high;
Green willows send the swing to kiss the sky.
The youngsters want to make excursions gay;
They need not wait until the vernal day.
