帕布莉卡竹竿
籊籊[1]竹竿，
以钓于淇。
岂不尔思？
远莫致之。
泉源在左，
淇水在右。
女子有行，
远兄弟父母。
淇水在右。
泉源在左。
巧笑之瑳[2]，
佩玉之傩[3]。
淇水滺滺，
桧楫松舟。
驾言出游，
以写我忧。
钓鱼竹竿细又长，
当年垂钓淇水上。
难道旧游不曾想？
道路遥远难回乡。
泉水源头在左边，
淇河流水向右边。
姑娘自从出嫁后，
远离父母兄弟前。
淇河流水向右边，
泉水源头在左边。
巧妙笑时齿鲜白，
佩玉摇动声连连。
淇水流长悠悠流，
桧树做楫松做舟。
只好驾车来出游，
聊以解除我心忧。

A Lovesick Fisherman[1]
With long rod of bamboo
I fish in River Qi.
Home, how I long for you,
Far-of a thousand li!
At left the Spring flows on;
At right the River clear.
To wed they saw me gone,
Leaving my parents dear.
The River clear at right,
At left the Spring flows on.
O my smiles beaming bright
And ringing gems are gone!
The long, long River flows
With boats of pine home-bound.
My boat along it goes.
O let my grief be drowned!
[1]A daughter of the House of Wei, married in another state, expressed her longing to revisit the scenes of her youth, where she had rambled in elegant dress between River Qi and the Spring. It was said that the daughter was Baroness Mu of Xu (See Poem“Patriotic Baron ess Mu of Xu”).
