冠垂白挂丝耳边，
添加上红玉更明显！
等我就在院子间，
冠垂青丝在耳边，

等我就在堂屋间，

The Bridegroom[1]
He waits for me between the door and screen,
His crown adorned with ribbons green
Ended with gems of beautiful sheen.
He waits for me in the court with delight,
His crown adorned with ribbons white
Ended with gems and rubies bright.
He waits for me in inner hall,
His crown adorned with yellow ribbons all
Ended with gems like golden ball.
[1]A bride described her first meeting with the bridegroom who should wait for her arrival first at the door, then in the court and at last in the inner hall, according to ancient nuptial ceremony.
