齐女夜归把车上。

路上行人熙攘攘。

[6] 沵沵（nǐ nǐ）：柔和舒畅，指驾技高。
[7] 岂（kǎi）弟：天刚亮。
[8] 儦儦（biāo biāo）：人多的样子。
Duke of Qi and Duchess of Lu[1]
The duke’s cab drives ahead
With screens of leather red;
The duchess starts her way
Before the break of day.
The duke’s steeds run amain;
Soft looks their hanging rein.
The duchess speeds her way
At the break of the day.
The river flows along;
Travellers come in throng.
Duke and duchess meet by day
And make merry all the way.
The river’s overflowed
With travellers in crowd.
Duke and duchess all day

[1]This was a satire against the open shamelessness of Duchess of Wen Jiang of Lu in her meeting with her brother, Duke Xiang of Qi. The merry-making might allude to their love-making (See Note on Poem“Incest”).
